I feel I’ve come to both the weird part of the Internet where creepiness and talent are combined into one…

Just encountered this error when trying to create a cron job to run every 5 minutes, I had been trying to fix this since yesterday and all I had to do was delete my current .sh file, open an existing .sh file which worked, save as the current .sh file and change the filename. Poof! Done!
Apparently there was some sort of strange character which the VPS was seeing that I wasn’t on my end. The only way to fix it was to delete the old file and start from scratch.
